Bandipur National Park

Located just Parallel to Mudumali Tiger Reserve, in fact Bandipur and Mudumalai are separated just by  one Highway road. Just 15 to 20 minutes to reach Karnataka border and a 5 km ride to reach Bandipur Reserve. The complete wildlife of both Bandipur and Mudumalai are interdependent & separated by Mysore - Ooty road and Moya River.

Month to visit: Alike Mudhumalai best seasons are - April(Animals comes out drink Moyar river Water, Morning /& Evening), July & August when new Grass Grow after rainfall, August , September and early November. You have a high 70% chance to see big cats , least Leopard or panther when you go for a Jeep / Bus Safari.
Way To Karnataka Border : Exactly 12.5 Km from  Mudumalai - Theppakadu reception Center you can explore the nature's gift and almost spot all the animals in this reserve area least Gaur ,  Elephant and Heed of Sambar and Spotted dears. 


Parambikulam Tiger Reserve
Do you want to see Tiger for sure? You have your best chances up to 90% to spot big cats Tiger , Leopard & Panther in this place. One of the Hidden forest treasure of the western ghats & truly isolated from Human inhabitant except, where you can see Huge Elephants swimming from shore to shore inside Parimbikulam lake`s small island. Even Leopard & Black Panther dose the same in search of prey.
 
My personal recommendation is Veettikunnu Island, located in the unseen depth of the forest. An Island that takes three hours in-depth forest safari and One and Half an hour row the bamboo boat to the Island located on the Parimbikulam Reservoir. Spot : Elephant, Tiger & Black Panther.

Animal Sighting: Jungle Safari - Elephant, wild hod, Great Indian Gaur, Tiger, Panther & Leopard. Try to start the safari by post lunch 1 PM so that you can return back late evening covering entire forest.Another interesting fact is that there is a 500+ year old Teak tree called Kannimara Worlds Largest Natural Teak Tree.


Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary - Idukki home for one of the most endangered species Grizzled Squirrel of India. Numbering less than 200, most endangered species on the planet. Dry deciduous forests, high ranges and some grassland add to the diversity of the sanctuary. While making the journey from Karimuthi to Chinnar, Spotted Deer, Leopard & Tiger, Crocodile, Sambar, Hanuman Langur and peacocks can be spotted alongside the road.

If you are planning to visit chinnar santuary, the booking entery starts by 1:00 pm (Pre Booking is suggested- one would be not able to reach the contact number due to poor network connection), visit chinnar river with 20 or 30 rupees fee where you can enjoy the divers forest rivers beauty, refresh and reengage for the trekking.

Periyar National Park
Periyar National Park and wildlife sanctuary is located in Thekkady, Kerala. December to March is the right time due to lack of rain and very mild temperature. The animals, migration birds and butterflies are easier to spot during this season.
